I officially regret selling my Tercel. I should have bit the bullet and just eaten some repair costs. Yes, it’s in better hands and running well somewhere in Seattle now, but fuck that shit. I made the right call keeping my pickup (never ever ever ever selling that) but I could have worked harder trying to find a way to keep the Tercel, too.

Right now I’m shopping for “modern” vehicle, yet I keep coming back to the Tercel, and old pickups of course but that’s just healthy. When I see one on the road I always point and smile. It was pitifully slow but was so comfortable and fun.

I don’t know what or if I’ll end up buying anything. And I’m sure tomorrow will be business as usual, with me posting something like, “wow look at this 83 Camry liftback for sale! Groovy!” But until then, regret.

That combines my two least favorite things: 1) selling a car, and 2) finding a serviceable Tercel and actually getting it before it sells

I want that red one in Portland I posted yesterday, but I can’t get my ass (and another’s) down there at the moment...

Possibly, but that carries other risks. The second Tercel I bought was an awful vehicle. It was a bad idea anyway...

Well, with luck it will hang around CL until you can get down there. You could sell the Celica through some other site besides CL, maybe one with less crackpots.
